About Corey

I have been drawing and creating all of my life, but only began using watercolor as an adult. The bright, translucent colors captured my imagination and allowed me to explore more abstracted, playful patterns and themes. Many relate to animals - because who doesn’t love those - and my home in Baltimore, Maryland.

Much of my work plays with colors and geometric patterns within both natural subjects and abstract compositions. As I have always had a very controlled approach to art in general, watercolors have allowed me to wrestle with making mistakes and letting the brushstrokes drift where they will even within a very precise design. If you ask me, that’s where the magic lies.
